Repairing a fire hydrant in Camden, NJ

Leaking Fire Hydrant at the Post Office

We were contacted by a plumber confronted with the task of replacing a leaking fire hydrant at the Camden Post Office. As we started the excavation process to access the hydrant, our team made a discovery: not only was the hydrant leaking, but the shut-off valve responsible for controlling its water supply was also compromised. This dual leakage issue presented a significant challenge, exacerbated by the inability to readily locate the shut-off valve for the entire property.

We coordinated with the water company to assist in pinpointing the shut-off valve. With the water flow halted, the plumber could finish the repairs and replacement of the fire hydrant. We went back the following day to restore the asphalt in the street where the leaking shut off valve had been located.
